Animal aggression can cause injury including fatal injury to other animals and people. Treatment of aggression is not guaranteed to be successful and modifying the behaviour does not assure that aggression will be successfully controlled. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that their dog does not cause harm in the future. Precautions that can be taken to ensure a dog is safe may include, but are not limited to:
Keeping a dog on lead
Teaching a dog to wear a muzzle when in public
Asking for space and alerting other people that a dog may have aggressive tendencies
Keeping a dog contained behind fences and doors where necessary
Not allowing a dog to mix with certain dogs or people
Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times. It is highly recommended that they have adequate pet or home insurance that provides cover for liability, property or third party.
Ali's Behaving Canines can refuse to work with a dog if we believe that the dog poses substantial risk to our safety based on the information provided by the person booking the appointment. In the event that the dog has displayed aggression (aggression that we believe to be a safety risk) towards us upon meeting, we can refuse to continue training. In this instance, you will receive a refund for your booking, minus a £10 administration fee and any mileage fees that have been charged.
